Why there is no single fixed amount
Raftaar adapts to the connection and measurement endpoint. Duration, retries, parallel streams and protocol overhead all affect the final total. A fast fibre test can use hundreds of megabytes or more.
Testing on mobile data
Check your allowance first. Avoid repeated tests if your plan is small or expensive, and use Wi-Fi when you only need a general diagnostic.
- Run one test before repeating
- Stop if the test is not necessary
- Review the transferred-data total in the result
- Remember that carrier billing includes protocol overhead
The payload is generated
Raftaar does not upload your photos, files, contacts or browsing content. It sends generated measurement bytes and receives generated test data from the selected endpoint.
